Buff is a positive effect that increases base status of a character or gives other upside effects, a debuff is an opposite to a buff, it is a negative effect that reduces base status of a character or gives other downside effects. There are 4 major buffs and debuffs which affect each based status. They will increase or reduce the basic status by 5% until the combat end, and can stack up 5 times, which means they can accumulate to the maximum of 25% or -25%. Buff will be applied to a character with 100% rate Debuff will be applied according to the based percentage written in a card and LK.

AT
Strength
+5% AT instantly
Weakness
-5% AT instantly
SP
Swift
+5% SP instantly
Slow
-5% SP instantly
LK
Fortune
+5% LK instantly
Curse
-5% LK instantly
Some buffs and debuffs have a special effect, these kinds of effects will only last 1 turn.
Buffs
Thorn - reflect 20% of damage received to the character who dealt damage
Mark of rebirth - target character will instantly revive with 25% HP if KO
Debuffs
Stun - target character loses all remained actions
Mark of death - target character will instantly KO if HP fall below 25%
